Does anyone know of a credit card that extends an emergency line of credit over and above my existing limit? |
I don't want to take out a payday loan. I was wondering if there were any credit card companies that extended emergency loans (not line increases) that were instantly available as a line of credit. Does anyone know of one? Yes. If you have been paying the account on time for over 6 months and "more than the minimum" they will usually approve a credit line increase. Many banks have a 6 month rotation where you become eligible for line increases and in many cases you would need to ask for it. This may mean a credit check just to make sure no lates are reporting on any other accounts. I write a blog on the subject of credit management, mortgages, real estate trends, etc. Check it out for more information that may be helpful. No, but that sounds like nothing but trouble. The interest on something like that is probably astronomical! What about just going to your bank or credit union for a signature loan? The rates would be a lot better. just sell something or go to the pawn shop and put something on consignment Call your credit card company and ask them over the phone they may increase your limit if you ask. Those vultures are happy to get you to dig the hole a little deeper. you have to have an increase approved most cards co. will increase the charge amount if you have a good payment record just call them and ask. If you are getting in to deep at some point you got to face reality |
