Is there REALLY free credit report site on line? Thought they were free now but all sites ask you to join?? |
Every site I go to wants you to join something and pay by credit card. I don't HAVE a credit card...lol... I thought a law was passed or something where you could get your credit score on request. The site mentioned already (annual credit report) is totally free, no-strings-attached. That's the one that was set up when the law was changed. I would suggest you order a report from just one agency now. Then, in four months, get the second agency's report and the last one in four more months (ex. June - Experian, Oct. - TransUnion, Feb. - Equifax). This way, you can monitor your credit all year long for free. You can get your credit report online for free. I think they asked me for a credit card, too, but that's so that if you don't cancel the "subscription" to the site, they can continue to charge you. Give them your credit card info, but just make sure you cancel your subscription after you've read your credit report. You can go to www.experian.com. That's where I got mine, and I didn't pay anything for it. You can get one free credit report per year plus one for free each time you are denied credit. Go to this site to get your free annual credit report: https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i... You can get all three credit reports for free at http://www.annualcreditreport.com... . No credit card required. This web sight is sanctioned by the federal government to provide you, by law, your free annual reports. |
