Can I use my bank card as a Credit card when buying things on line? |
it has a VISA logo, and at the store they ask credit or debit. Yes as long as it has the visa logo you can do either or. banks only issue debit cards-buy it is a visa debit not a credit card the answer is yes you can but be sure to check with your bank to be sure you can. Some (very few) banks dont let you. Yes, almost all credit card transactions online will accept Visa debit cards. (Though there are a few exceptions; for instance, when renting a car, they may accept it online for securing the reservation, but you'd have to have a real credit card to pick up the car.) On the other hand, not all banks that issue debit cards will cover you for unauthorized purchases if the card is used online. This can be a very big deal! You need to check the details of your contract with the bank. You can as long as you have the money to back it up or else it will be just like a check and yhey will either deny it of charge you for the {i can not remember what they call it!!, but it's that 25 $ charge they tack on} for not having enough money in the bank. In that situation it can be used as a credit card. As long as you got the funds in your bank account you can use your debit card like a credit card. I make lots of purchases online using my debit card and have not have issues doing so. The only thing you might have a problem with is gas pumps and using a debit card for a rental car. Yes you can just use it as credit and don't give out a pin number. |
