Why do people in the express line in the supermarket pay for Trident gum with a credit card? |
Sometimes the card doesn't even work and we all have to wait and wait and wait!!! Makes me want to scream here you go, take my pocket change and get the f*ck out! isnt that too ridiculous?? its so annoying isn't it? you should see how they pay for Dentyne...with a $50. Takes the cashier an hour to get change. And someone paid for Ice Breakers Gum with a gift certificate that only had .67 cents left on it, and she had to rumage through her purse for 30 minutes finding the rest of the $. geesh. They are invaders from a place called Rudeopia. There are more and more of them around all the time. I think they spend a lot of their time on the freeways, driving Mall-sized SUVs with "Save the Earth, Stop Global Warming" bumper stickers on them so you can be indoctrinated as they cut you off while talking on several cell phones simultaneously. Right on, Doc! It might be that the customer is using the credit card like an atm (automatic teller machine) and is hoping to get some money back with quite a small investment. If the card doesn't work, I can certainly understand those next in line being frustrated though. I know someone like this! She believes if she doesn't carry cash, she will save more money. So she can only go places that take credit cards (which is basically everywhere). Go figure! lol. |
