Yo do need to have some sort of payment processor so that you can accept credit card payments online (ideally), such as 2co.com or paypal.com You can open a store as long as you have the money, either in the bank, or on hand. Keep in mind that most companies like you to have a credit card, especially if you just started a business, because chances are you won't quality for Net 30 terms. So, the short answer is no, you don't need a credit card to open a business online; however, your wholesellers may require it :) I would do some reasearch on your wholesellers (people you buy your prodcuts for resell from), and see what their terms of payments are; most commonly this is Net 30 (which most new businessess won't quality for), Credit Card (most common), Online Check (rare), and Check Through Mail (common, but takes weeks to process). |
