It would be nice to order things on line or pay my bills but I am too afraid to enter my credit card info-you? |
Afraid it could get in the wrong hands!! Get a "prepaid" card, which is only good for the amount that you "load" it with.WHen you want to make a purchase, load just that much on the card, make the purchase and relax. Nobody can take out more than you put in. If somebody tries, toss the card and get another one It's not any different than handing your card to a waiter in a restaurant. No, I'm much more afraid to give my credit card to a waiter who is going to disappear into a back room for 5 minutes where I can't see them. Over the internet is just computer to computer - so if you stay with a company that is reputable then there is a much smaller chance that anyone can steal your information online then in person. then say that u don't have a credit card. I don't have a credit card, but my dad never lets me use his on the computer. Once our card # wuz stolen and $500 wuz spent on an International online dating service. But it's no more of a risk than using it to buy somthing in person. I will not put it online, also I do not let waitpersons take my card to some backroom, Keep it where you can see it. I use an online service to pay all my bills. I wouldnt do it any other way. The site is extremely secure www.paytrust.com. I have been doing it this way now for 4 years. I dont like the bank sites. and rarely use my credit card for on line purchases. best rule of thumb is if the http has an 's' at the end of it in the address bar before you commit your credit card to a site. The 's' means it is a secure site. |
