Credit repair?

if i never applied for a loan with a specific lender... can i dispute it? (i know i can dispute the negative part)

I don't have a lot of experience in this area but there is a forum where a lot of people who do have experience in credit repair give a lot of good advice: http://www.creditboards.com/forums/...
Yes, you can. You can dispute the inquiry with the bureaus or send a letter to the company showing an inquiry. They have 30 days to verify the claim. Below is a sample letter you can use for disputing inquiries.

Yes. Call the credit reporting agency, or send them a letter, and let them know that you are disputing that you did not apply for the loan. You will need to provide your name, address and ssn to credit reporting agency, and they will respond to your dispute within 30 days.

Yes you can dispute it. Here's a link to an article titled "What to do if there are inaccuracies on your credit report". It's a step by step guide that also includes a sample letter to send to the credit bureaus. I hope that helps: http://financialbasics.blogspot.com/2006...

Good luck
