Has anyone tried credit repair services like bad credit b gone?

Don't do this. It's a scam.

There is no way to "fix" your bad credit. You can only improve it over time by paying your bills & being responsible.

You can, however, fix errors if there are any on your credit report. You're entitled to one free credit report a year at annualcreditreport.com

I've tried debt consolidation. But it was really hard. A lot of the creditors didn't accept the settlement payments and when I called them to inform them that I would be doing the consolidation, some of them threatened me, in fact one of them sued me. I am looking into bankruptcy myself. I know a few people who are a lot better off after BK.
MOst if not all credit counseling companies are paid by the Credit Card Issuers. There is no benefit to using them. Your credit will be affected similar to that of filing bankruptcy. At least with BK, you may not have to repay. They are ruining your credit anyways. You are a number to them. They could care less about you, except to extract every last dime of the enormous interest and penalties they charge. Don't feel bad about filing BK, I have heard (rumor) that a large portion of our members of congress have filed at least once. So you are in with the best of 'em. OR worst, depending on your political views!
