Are the "Credit Repair" people for real.?

Has anyone ever tried these companies offering $50 per month to clean your bad credit. Did it work? Any suggestions on who to contact?

I would never pay $50 per month. Most good mortgage companies have companies which will do this for free and they do it legitimately. They are able to make you a purchaser in normally 6 months. Email me if you need some referrals.

ripoffs most of them. Call your bank or credit union and ask who they refer people to.
You mean they pay you $50 or you pay them $50 one is going to make it worse not better.
They charge you for what you can do yourself.

Instead do it yourself
go to www.myfico.com
for 5.95 myfico will give you all the proper forms to dispute the negs on your credit,
plus if you go to a credit repair co they will have you buy your credit report anyway. So you might as well continue on your own and do this. It will take persistance as I have found that out myself
but it will work-Going through a credit repair co will probably take longer becaus ethey will want to milk your monthly fee as long as they can-
they can help you dispute the bad stuff on your credit

pay your bills on time
