What do the Credit Repair Agencys cost on average? |
I doubt we can afford it.. but has anyone used these agencys? What kind of fees do they have? How long did it actually take? Dont even waste the time or money on credit repair agencies! There is nothing they can do to fix your credit, that you cant do yourself. All you can do is get your credit report, make sure there are no errors, if there are errors, then file a dispute with the three agencies (you can do it right on their website), after that make sure you pay all your bills on time, and pay down some of that credit card debt! They're a scam; don't waste your money. DON'T DO IT! The only way to legally repair your credit is to make payments against your debt. There is no other easy answer. Stay away from credit repair agencies. The best way to repair your credit is to first, order a free credit report at http://www.annualcreditreport.com... Then, review each tradeline and see what you're doing wrong. If something is late, pay it. If you have a collection, resolve it with the company who is reporting it. If you have a chargeoff, do the same. Don't close cards that have history on them...they carry history that helps prove your responsibility or lack there of. Keep any new cards open and current, and paid! Credit repair companies often will lump payments together or make you pay below the minimum, but individual creditors may still show your payments as derogatory if they are below their own minimum payment amount. Credit counseling and other like programs also prevent consumers from opening any new lines of credit. Many consumers don't realize this, but it's usually one of the requirements from these repair companies, so watch out! Mortgage tips and credit help at http://www.thetruthaboutmortgage.com... They generally run about $500. no one can "fix" your credit.. you can help your self by cutting all those credit cards, then cancel them .. next work on paying off those bills, you can even work with the c/c company to send in 1 big payment and get a huge reduction off your total bill ( pay the whole balance minus the interest rate fees) and pay your other bills on time ... also be sure to get your credit report from the 3 main reporting agencies, you can get a free one from each every 12 months and/or within 60 days of being turned down for credit/ or a job |
