Can anyone suggest a credit repair company that works?

They are all fairly crooked, as things go. The secret to repairing your credit is to work hard, live frugally, and pay your bills on time. If you can't pay in full, make arrangement to pay partial amounts or the full amount later in the month. There are some non-profit community-based credit counseling services, but if I were you, I'd avoid any of them that want your money up front.

go to http://www.myfico.com/crediteducation/im... for answers on truely repairing your credit. The repair places are just going to paint a rosey picture for what is not truely helping you at all.
