It raises a red flag. You can also do it yourself online. go to the major credit reporting agencies and you pay like $10 to run your credit then you dispute any derogatory charges or old credit on there. the companies have i believe 30 days to reply with a validation of the derogatory credit otherwise it gets omitted from your credit for good.
