3 key factors:

You must pay off your debt.

You must dispute the negative items until they are gone.

You must add new positive credit.

Step one, make your report accurate. Remove incorrect issues via the dispute process.
Step two, don't apply for anymore credit. The older the accounts you have are, the better and the inquiries drive your score down
Step three, Pay ON TIME, EVERYTIME.
