Is there really a way to repair ones credit file using those agencys that promise to get you a new credit file They can only do what you can do for free. They just dispute items on you report, which you can do yourself. There is a few agencys out there that can acually fix your report but they cost a bunch. About 500-and up per item. And it can come back. They use it as a temp fix to buy homes. Also they never issue a new file for you. Illegal and risky and usually more like a hollow chocolate easter bunny, scam. Skip it. Most are rip offs that take your money and screw you. Be very careful. If it sounds too godd to be true it isn't. no, consolidate your own and pay the damn bill you can't get a "new" credit file unless you somehow happen to get a new SSN. the only thing close to new credit is re-established credit. start from scratch and rebuild the damage to your credit. no Basically you are getting a loan from them, at a much higher interest rate than you are paying now. So you're still making payments but are getting deeper into debt. Just work on paying off your debts on your own. |
