What is the best way to repair extremely bad credit?

A secured loan from your banking institution to establish a good credit history. Then go on line to experian.com and dispute the accounts against you. The company's reporting to the credit agencies have 30 days to respond to the dispute, if they don't respond the credit agencies take it off your credit report. Experian is the only one you can do on line. You have to write the other credit reporting agencies to dispute the accounts.

Pay your Creditors
pay off your debt and time will heal your credit report.
pay your bills on time, and pay 90% of your revolving credit. also get secure loans with your bank.

My advice...don't hire one of those credit repair firms, a lot of times you will just end up getting ripped off. Try it yourself first. And especially important and I was given this advice by my mortgage company when we first applied...contact all 3 bureaus...Transunion, Experian and Equifax and get your free reports (depending on your state, you can usually get one free per year from each one)....Dispute EVERYTHING on them (the bad stuff)...you would be surprised how quickly a debt, and one that you are aware of, can drop off your credit merely because they don't follow up on a dispute when presented to them by the particular bureau. Get a copy of your credit report from the 3 credit bureaus. Its free. Start trying to pay off whatever is on the report. Pay what you can to the companies you owe. Don't let them pressure you into an amount...they will take what you can pay them when you are able to. After your charges are paid off time will improve your score. You may also find stuff on your report that isn't even really yours. You can challenge this.
