To reestablish a poor credit, the only type of credit you can obtain is a Secured Loan or Secured Line of Credit. The bank or the entitiy will give you a credit limit up to the amount of cash you put in for security. Generally it takes up to a year more or less before they upgrade you to an unsecured card. I would start off by getting about 2-3 secured credit card at major banks and start building up from there. 3 works faster than 1 lign="right" > Sign in to vote! Its never to late to fix it and it can be fixed fast. Dont fall victim to scams - try a real law firm for $35 a month you will get results http://www.ficoboost.com lign="right" > Sign in to vote! Bad credit never just goes away! Your credit report is a living history of everything you do w/your credit. the best way to restore your credit rating is to pay off everything you owe. Transunion, Experian & Equifax are the 3 major reporting agencies for credit. They will give you a report on your accounts. Get right w/the companies you owe & then after you are clear of all debts borrow money from a bank, small loan, & pay it off on time allthe way. Never late. Use your credit cards if you have any & pay them off, regularly & on time. Eventually your rating will improve. The important thing to remember is to pay promptly, fully & on time. |
