What is the website that I can challenge my credit report through the govt owned site and repair my scor? |
I have been told I may challenge entries on my credit report and have them removed if not proven in 30 days. I need the exact web site, surfing hasn't been successful. Dont buy one of those combined reports but a seperate report from each one online. With those reports it will give you temporary access to your report online. From there you can dispute each item you want. The bureau will be forced to verify the account and let you know the results. Sometimes you have to dispute the same account a few times till they correct it. Do each bureau. What the bureau does is contacts the creditor to verify the account and status. Sometimes the creditor will not respond. If they dont the bureau will take the account off. If the bureau is incorrect and not fixing it, you can file a greivance with the FTC. Note that the bureau will not take off credit requests, those stay on for 6 months to a year. |
