how long does it take for a financial search to stop affecting ur credit score? I heard it take 6 months for it to drop of - is that right?
Searches don't drop off, but you're advised only to do a couple every 6 months, otherwise the lenders think you're desperately trying to get as much credit as possible, which you're then probably not going to be able to pay back.
So it doesn't matter that the searches stay on there, it won't harm anything, just don't make more than a couple in the space of a 6 month period. |
