HELP AGAIN I payed a collection off, its still on my credit report and the collection attorney is now in jail?

What can I do

Like the first poster mentioned, send a dispute to the CRA's for any inaccurate info that is being reported on that account.

If the collection atty is in jail (lol) there could be a very good chance it will not be verified. If it is not verified, or corrected, it must be removed.

I would recommend disputing with the CRA's before sending the letter to the collection agency asking them to remove it.
Dispute it with the credit bureaus and send a letter to the collection agency asking them nicely to remove it.

Maybe call your mayor or alderman Idk.
Hope you kept the check or money order to prove you payed. If so you will be ok. But it should clear up in about 3 months to a year that's what I have been told. I wish you the best of luck. God Bless
