If I pay my credit card one day after the due date can the credit card company report me to the credit bureaus |
If I pay my credit card one day after the due date can the credit card company report me to the credit bureaus? I've heard from a CPA's assistant that they can only report you if you are more then 30 days late----is this true? I live in CA they won't report you unless you are 30 days late. the actual credit report only displays late payments in 30 day increments. They won't report you for being one day late, but they will charge you late fees. No they will just charge you late fees! yes. how ever most reputable companys give a five day grace period. Unless you are habitually late, they won't report you. It is best that you try to pay on time. The 30 day rule is usually what will appear on your credit report. No if your 30 days late she was right but you will pay a late fee They won't bother with it for being one day late. You have to be more than 30-days late to be "past due." Until that point, you are merely late with your payment. But, once you roll past another billing cycle, you are past due. |
