| *Loan,banking and credit>>>credit report |
Received credit report today and found that one of my housemate involved in criminal fraud what should i do? |
that guy got false loss, misuse of accounts etc on it. should i inform the police? or should i call someone else? A credit report states what it already a matter of record so there are no issues to report to anyone. Do you feel the need to say anything to your housemate? You are the best judge of his current behavior and you may be best using this to your advantage.i.e protect your interests. As one of the answers states above you need to be aware that this black mark against your address can count against you, even though you're not involved. I would stay quiet. Call the cops, show them the proof. I wouldn't call the police becasue if the companies involved with his financial mis-givings would take their own actions. The only way this effects you is that if you have tried to get a loan or purchasing something on finance, then the address may be blacklisted and they might refuse you. Use this credit report as evidence to show it not you and it was your housemate, should you wish to challenge a refusal from finance companies etc. if you know a crime as been committed you are duty bound to report it to the police and as the name was on you credit report it could be construed at a later date that you may have been in collusion with your housemate. report it Leave it alone. It is his problem, not yours. Worry about your own life. Leave it out its not your job to inform on him,,,, |
