How did credits reports company obtains you personal finance history?

i never give any promistion for any credits reports company to obtains my credits history.but some they just got it. how did they get them. is it agaisnt your privacy rigth to obtains information about without premistion from you.?

Any financial institution you have had business with debt wise such as home loans, auto loans, credit cards, etc. usually report information to the 3 major credit reporting agencies. The info you submit to any approved loan/credit card gets stored with the account. Employment, income, etc. They then send the info to the credit agencies to update your credit report.
Equifax,TransUnion, and Experian are the three.

Yes, they can do that. It's basically like your ssn# having a lot of your information. You didn't tell the government that they could record your birthdate, birthplace, your employment info, etc.
Both are your history footprint for the government, for employment, and for your future financial needs. Certain People/Banks pulling your information for credit card apps, etc. need your permission though. Your signing gives them that.
The banks / lenders / companies you have accounts with are allowed to do what they want with the info
AND they all chose to share it with the big 3 credit agencies so they can find out when deadbeats apply for credit and they can then say "h--- no' .

They don't need your permission , they give you $$$ , they can tell anyone they want .

Unless you "opt out" your records are for sale. All kinds of companies purchase targeted "leads" based on certain credit criteria. It could be geographical location or if you have a 700+ fico. Or maybe you are homeowner. Or maybe you applied for a car loan within the last 2 weeks?

How do you think reporting agencies make money? By you ordering your "free" credit report each year?

You can write to each bureau and stop them from releasing such information.
6 years mortgage banking
5 years auto finance
You would have had to give credit card companies permission to view your credit history. If you receive letters such as "You are pre-approved", it could be one credit card company selling your personal information, such as name address, phone number etc. They should not give out credit history to others without your permission.

Most states and provinces allow you to look at your credit history for free, including who has viewed your information. You can make a complaint if someone has viewed your information without your permission.
I will soon be finding out the exact nature of credit reporting. I have never applied for anything, never had a credit card, loan, etc. However, I do have a checking and savings account and a job (all required my SSN) After my husband passed away I tried to get a car loan and found out that the information I provided on the loan application did not match the information on the credit report. I have never seen my credit report so I went to the website the car dealer gave me where he said I could view all three agencies. Each agency would not allow me to view my credit report over the internet because they claimed that the information I provided was inaccurate. I filled out a request and sent it in the mail along with a photocopy of my DL & SSN. I am still waiting to see what's on the report and why my information (I didn' t lie) isn't accurate. I have utility bills in my name and a lease for a home and a hospital bill. I'm assuming all that will also be on the report? I had to give my SSN for those things. My guess is that anytime you give out your SSN, it goes on your credit report? I will know for sure when I take a look at my report cause I lived in a couple of apartments that I never filled out anything for and had a job that never got my SSN (independent contractor). Most of my adult life, everything was in my husbands name.
