Can a creditor report negative information to the credit bureau on an account that has been closed.? They can report whatever they want. If you were late they can still report it. Especially if there is still a remaining balance. No a creditor cannot report negative information on an account that has been closed. As long as you closed it voluntarily. If there is money owed thats a different story. http://www.DisputeDemon.com http://www.DisputeDemon.com I think as long as it was in good standing when it was closed you should be ok. But instead of waiting for the bill I would call the company to make sure there is no remaining balance left. This way you are done with it completely. I would think only if the account was in bad standing, late, never paid, ect... |
