How does a company report a customer's debt to a credit bureau agency? What do you mean? They just report it with whatever method they have arranged with the Credit Bureaus. Can be done on line or other methods. They have to sign up as a subscriber and the credit bureau assigns them an id so they can report customer payment history(They call it sending in the tapes because they would send the credit bureau the old data tapes) Now companies are linked through the Internet and have various ways of getting the data to the credit bureaus.
