After clearing up credit card debt how long does it take for your credit scores to improve.?

Usually the next credit cycle..it will reflect paid accounts in good standing and then your score will gradually increase.
Give it about 2 to 3 months for a even better score.
Bankruptcies can be reported for up to ten years, collections-7 years. Depends on your situation. Both cases affect your credit score. If you are paying as agreed, your credit score increases over time, as you pay, like a snail. If you miss payments, or pay late, your score can drop faster than a mistress in the arms of a husband who's wife just walked in, in the middle of a flingy at work.
Just a visual.
It takes 30-60 days to have the new credit information show up on your credit reports. So if you have cleared up any inaccurate information, it will take that long to fully show up.

As far as improving your account from ne activity, it will take 1-5 years to really see everything where you would like it to be.
Each TRW company has a different time that they remove something. It can take six to nine years if you paid things off, and between 11 and 15 if you filed bankruptcy. Basically, they will remove a negative or positive item six to nine years after the account is closed. If you want something off sooner then that, you can dispute the item with the TRW Companies by writing them a letter and itemizing each line you want taken out. (The easiest dispute is to write them and say "This Account is not mine.") The TRW company then starts an investigation that has to be wrapped up in 30 days. Put simply, they go to the creditor and ask the creditor to verify the information you are disputing. If the creditor does not do this, the TRW company will change or delete the item from your report and your score will increase. I've done this several times and have brought my score up as much as 200 points in 30 days.

Now, FYI, a dispute is especially important to do if you were sent to collections. Each collection company puts a ding on your report for the same negative account. When they don't get the money, they pass it on to someone else who again puts a ding on your credit. Disputing collection companies is the surest and easiest way to get your score up quickly.

Also, if you really want to get a good credit score, try to only close the negative accounts and leave positive ones open. If you can avoid it all, try not to close any accounts at. Each time you close an account, your credit score goes down. It sucks, but it's true.

Hope this helps.
