Experian credit score advise please.?

I have just got my national credit score from experain. Its only 540 which is very poor.

I have only been living in the UK for a year and in this time have never defaulted or missed a payment. I have two bank accounts, a contract phone and also a virgin communications package.

All of these are paid upto date and on time so why is my score so low? and Ideas on how to improve it?

If you are a US citizen and you are living in the UK, unless you have US based credit, none of it will report to the 3 US credit bureaus.
Bank accounts and cel phone contracts do not affect your credit score at all. They do not report.

You must have some negative items like old late payments or collection accounts to have such a low score

. To fix your US credit score, you will need credit accounts from USA companies which you may have a hard time getting.

I think that there is more to your situation than you are sharing.
