**When deleting an item frm ur credit report, does your score goes up? Deleting bad items will raise your score and deleting good histories can really hurt your score. Remember it is both the good history and length of credit that matters. So that is why it is not recommended to cancel your oldest credit card before a home purchase. Explain deleting as in it has come off, then yes, if you mean paying on one listed as delinquent the no just has a note saying paid off, or satisfied depends on if the item being removed is affecting your credit score in a positive or negative way. if you're removing a revolving credit account because it's been paid in full, then this will cause your credit score to go up. if you're closing a good standing account that's been open for years without a balance, it will make your score drop. mine did Absolutely. Mine went up 12-points by removing one false item. If you have your credit score with a derogatory remark on your report and have that remark removed, your credit score will reflect if immediately. Be sure and check with all 3 of the major credit bureaus and make sure the bad item is removed from each one. |
