Dose paying medical collections on your credit raise your score?

or dose it do nothing? How can you raise your credit score?

Collection paid will not improve your score very much, if your planning to pay it them you can negotiate with the company to delete that account from your credit report once you paid them, get that in writing. go to creditboards.com/forums for more information
If the collection is showing in your credit report, then paying it off will improve your credit score since it will show up as collection paid...
paying a medical collection will not raise your credit score because most lenders ie auto and home loans don't count medical collections against you but if you can pay it will help with your rate because it shows you made good on a bad debt.
