Where can I get a loan with not so perfect credit (low credit score)? I need only $3,00 - $4,000.? |
I want to consolidate bills. There's a variety of places, some better than others: 1) local credit union -- these nonprofit organizations tend to sometimes have lower credit criteria than big banks 2) subprime/predatory lenders -- although their customer service and fees su.ck, they specialize in giving loans to people like you. These places include: American General, HSBC, etc. 3) get someone to cosign the loan for you 4) secured loan -- this loan is offered at a variety of places and requires some kind of asset/collateral, so that in case you default on loan payment, the bank/association can seize your collateral and sell that to get their money - car title loan -- this kind of loan is offered at payday loan places, and involves giving them the title of your car while you are paying for the loan, so that in case you default, they will be entitled to your car. They typically provide high interest rates and lend you money up to the appraised value of your car. - home equity loan -- this loan involves borrowing against the current value of your house - payday loan -- although I doubt you'd need a payday loan if you were successful enough to make that $3000-4000 in only one pay period LOL I tried to list as diverse of options as possible. I hope that helps! http://www.wesayes.com place to check out The idea would be to not borrow money to pay for borrowed money. The interest rate on your loan would probably be pretty large due to the bad credit and consolidation. Put your bills in a list from lowest to highest. Pay the minimum payment on all your bills, except the one with the lowest balance. Take all your extra money per month and pay the lowest balance bill off until it's gone. Then take all that money and go after the 2nd one in line, etc. Don't have enough money per month? Spend less -- get rid of cable, sell your car for a junker, etc. Still not enough? Deliver pizza at night for extra $$ until all your bills are paid off. At the end, you'll be debt free and fiscally responsible and have extra money to do the things you would like to do without the stress of debt. Instead of getting a loan directly, your best option is probably to contact a credit counseling company and tell them what bills you want to consolidate. They will work with your creditors and put all the bills on one statement, then you send a single payment directly to the consolidation company, which they distribute for you in a way that your debt will be paid off as quickly as possible. Paying consolidation bills over six years, $14k completely gone, from www.debtfree.org. getting the loan is not the problem,as there will always be people who will lend you the money, the problem will be the interest rate charged,as the lower your credit score, the higher the interest rate you will have to pay.if possible, ask your bank if they will do this for you,as they will usually have the lowest interest rates.if you go to loan companies,or other people who offer cash loans or advances,be prepared to pay interest of 20% or more (sometimes a lot more).pick your credit provider with care, and if they charge more than 10% over bank rates, dont go near them.they dont want you to be able to pay on time,as then penalty rates and fees can be charged, and you end up paying 2 or 3 times the loan amount (if not more) before you get out of the contract.if all else fails, ask the family.at least they dont (usually) charge interest Even though your credit may be bad, there is one website I found and maybe the only source to get a unsecured personal loan with a credit score as low as 520. A credit community website called prosper.com, which is a marketplace for credit that enables people to lend money to other people in a safe, efficient manner. |
