Has anyone had their credit score? What is the national average?

What level would companies be looking for customers to be above to offer them credit?

I just read last week that the national average is in the high 600's. Not bad considering personal debt in this country is at an all-time high.

Most companies look at more than just your credit score in determining whether to offer credit, and they often base terms of the loan (interest rate, term of loan, amount, etc.) on all those different criteria. So while a bank may be willing to make you a loan if you have a score of 590, chances are good that the terms will not be as good as they would if you had a credit score of 700. Source(s): Credit score of 788
All companies are different, but it appears the national credit score average is 695.

yes i have had a credit score unfortunatly it came with a C.C.J attached they do not put numbers after a minus.
6 to 700 is the national average for credit scores but please don't fall into the credit trap. Credit only enslaves you. If you can't afford to buy that TV without using a credit card you can't afford that TV...
