Credit score for someone under 18..?

I know that my daughter can not get her credit report because she is under 18 but can someone put things on her credit report is she is under 18..?

She took a book out of the liberary and never returned it and the 'bill' went to a collection agency , normally it would go on her credit report if she was over 18.

Will it still go on there even tho she is under 18.

She also has unpaid doctor bills from her son.

I think it would be unfair if they can put things on her credit report but she can not get it her credit report.

Any help please.

I used to work for Trans Union and legally no one can put anything on her credit report. However, it doesn't mean that it won't happen. The credit bureaus do not know how old a person is just by their social security number. I saw a lot of cases where a parent would use a newborn's s.s. # to obtain credit.
As far as the library, legally you are responsible for that account, since most libraries require a parent to be present and sign for the library card account.
For the medical bill, legally she isn't obligated to pay it; however they will continue to send her bills. The best thing she could do is dispute it with the collection agency and obtain a copy of her credit report from Equifax, Trans Union, and Experian and dispute it with them.

it can go on her credit report. You start building your credit when your recieve your social security number. I was in shock that I bought my first house when I was 13 years old. Someone used my SS# and paid the house off. I have got good credit because of it. It could have ended up extremmly bad but I got lucky. Hospital bills are not normally looked upon when trying to get credit cards and things like that. Hope I helped!!
I think JH gave you the most correct information and answer to your question. Good luck!
Your daughter cannot enter into any contract due to her being a minor. The book and the medical bill should be going on your credit or her Father's.

All you would have to do is have your daughter dispute the debts when she becomes of age.

Also, you might want to call the library and Doctors office and alert them of the issues. Again, they should be properly billed to a parent or gaurdian. Also, there is a probability the collection agency is not reporting to her credit.
