An arithmetic student needs an average of 70 or more to receive credit for the course. She scored 82, 64, and 98 on the first three exams. Write an inequality representing the score she must get on the last test to receive credit for the course.

(82+62+98+x)/4 >= 70
The average needs to be greater or equal to 70. So, to get the average, you need to add all the grades together, and divide them by the number of grades. X represents the last grade.
>= is what I'm using for the greater than or eqal to sign, I just don't know how to make it properly on here
(242+x)/4 >= 70 Simplify
242/4 + x/4 >= 70 Simplify
60.5 +x/4 >= 70 Get x alone
x/4 >= 9.5
x >= 38

So she must receive at least a 38 on her last test to pass.
244 total, needs a total of 280 points (280 divided by 4 exams = 70)
244 + x > 280 (actually should be greater than or equal to mark, but I cannot make it on my computer)
test score > 36
n= 70
82+ 64= 146
146- 70
4x70=280
82+64+98=244
280-244=36
36 is the minimum score on final test
