I have alot of debt in my name and my dads, I don't own a home can I get a loan to consolidate it all ? Consolidation loans are almost always secured on property or other fixed assets. I think you will be struggling. Borrowing to get out of debt is rarely a good idea ... go talk to your local debt councillor - they might be able to get your creditors to stop the interest and agree payment terms. Good luck Check with your bank. Just be cautious of those commercials about getting a quick loan. It's not worth it. I heard that you end up paying way too much in interest. Mali is spot on. Go to your bank if you can. Shop around but only with reputable lenders. Watch the APR's. Try and get a fixed rate loan not one with variable interest. Try go for a loan deal where interest is calculated daily not one where they charge all the interest up front. Make sure there is no set up or early repayment fees. Payment Protection Insurance costs you money but it's well worth taking just in case. Hope you get it sorted. |
