My dental insurance company does not pay for orthodontics treatment since i am over 21...?

Is there any way I can get some sort of reimbursement for getting braces since they are sooooooo expensive. The dependant-only rule is pure BS if you ask me, everyone should get assistane, not just kids.

Unlike the previously mentioned implants, which by the way can be very esthetically pleasing if sized properly(not too big), orthodontic treatment has several functional , as well as cosmetic benefits. Your insurance carrier is very narrow minded in my opinion if they donot have a benefit for ortho treatment at any age. Source(s): I am a dentist.
Try going to the dental school at your local university. They will often do cheap work since it is performed by supervised students. Otherwise, try finding a healthcare provider that will cover the costs.
that's like a girl asking for assistance with breast implants. pay for your own body.
Insurance companies DO have orthodontic coverage available for adults, if they or their employer pay the premium. They can't just cover every service that everyone might ever need without collecting a sufficient premium.

You might have a medical expense plan or you might qualify for a health savings account (HSA) and either one of these could probably be used to pay for braces with before-tax dollars.
Find a good orotho, get to know the type of insurance accepted.

Get a gig that will give benefits within 30 days, then have the exam done...
