I want afforadable dental insurance not a savings plan any suggestions? Believe it or not, just getting simple dental insurance through an insurer is not expensive- the part that *is* expensive is the copays and the plans limits. Many plans barely cover more than $1500-2000 in dental work- you can use most of that with one root canal. But if your teeth are in fairly decent shape, most insurances cover routine cleanings, and that will save oyu money in the long run. If you cannot afford dental insurance, try your local university health system. Many have dental schools- the work is overseen by dentists, and sometimes they offer a sliding scale charge along with cheaper prices. I would continue to look around... maybe even asking a dentist or two which plans they have seen that seem to offer the best benefits. Good luck. Well, why don't you try calling Delta Dental in your state, Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna all of these carry individual dental plans and some are affordable. Also Kaiser offers dental insurance for there members thru Delta Dental and that one is affordable too. There鈥檚 a great company out there that helps people who need help paying for their dental services. For less than $12/month, they can save up to 80% on everything from cleanings, xrays, surgery, crowns, braces, whitenings, anything really. There's no deductibles, claim forms, pre-authorizations, anything like that. You just go and get your work done. Might as well save a lot of money if you don't have benefits. They are reputable company and are registered with the BBB. They have over 100,000 providers and 2 million members nationwide. Here's the link to their website.
