Anyone know of any good dental insurance? |
Anyone know of any good dental insurance? This web site was recommended by someone a couple of days ago. Also, if you need treatment and cannot afford it, do you live near a university that has a dental school? Or check phone book for County Dental Association for a recommendation of a dentist who works on a sliding scale according to your income. Good Luck. Source(s): Needdentalbenefits.com Unfortunately, dental insurance is usually only offered through your employer. Individual insurance is almost impossible to obtain. You would be better off to self-insure - that is, set aside a certain amount each month (like you were paying an insurance premium) in an account. Most dental offices offer a small discount for paying in cash at time of service (they save a bit not filing a claim for you) and that will save you. Avoid "dental discount" plans as they will not allow you to have a choice of dentists. Most dental offices who accept these "discount" plans are not someplace you'd want to be. Work hard, get a good job that offers dental benefits. emmelue is correct. (HI!!!) Vote for her as the best answer, please. You will not generally find good dental insurance for individuals. The thing is, insurance companies are in BUSINESS and they want to make a PROFIT. They know exactly how much any given group is going to spend for their dental needs, so they construct a fee schedule for that group and decide how much premium that they will need to charge to pay out those fees for that group and still make money. Dental insurance can be a big loser for the insurance companies, because EVERYONE has dental problems. Not everyone has a heart attack. Go to www.AffordableDental4All.com for great savings .Low monthly premium and no red tape ( no waiting period, limit on work, pre existing conditions etc). Plus you will get discounts on prescription meds, vision care and chiropractic care. You CAN get a dental insurance for an individual these days except -- you will pay high monthly premiums and you will have annual caps, waiting periods, and exclusions, that is, procedures they just won't cover. Read the small print. Discount dental plans such as the one below have no waiting periods, all dental work is included, and, depending on the program and location you will have a large selection of dentists to choose from. Good luck. http://e-healthplus.com |
