I have a horribly painful toothache and no dental insurance. What can I do? You can take motrin or tylenol but if you have a toothache that means something is wrong and you need to have it checked. I know about not having insurance and it sucks, but it could cause you even more problems down the line. Call your local Family Independace Agency or health dept and ask if they know of any dentist that will go by your income to determine how much you pay or if they know of any that will accept payments. You most likely will have to have an antibiotic and right now Meijer (if you are in a state with Meijer) is offering to fill antibiotics for free for all customers. Good luck. I know my dentist is really good about helping out people paying cash for their dental work. All you need to do is ask.. the worst they can say is no... and guess what, the answer IS "no" if you DONT ask at all! Go to your local hospital...more of a community hospital...they will pull it and bill you Boy can I sympathsize! The dentists I've worked with have been willing to work out a payment plan with me. Lay your cards on the table and hope you've got good people. Meanwhile, take tylenol to control the pain. Good luck! Fly to Nicaragua and get it done for about $120. Or you can go to a med school, student will fix u for free, they r students with supervisor don't worry, won't be that bad. |
