How much are braces if i have no dental insurance? |
i need braces on the top of my teeth only i also think one of my teeth on top needs to be removed. i only need top braces how much would this be? It depends whether you have them done by a general dentist or by an orthodontist. Also it depends on what part of the country you live in. I would suggest to look into the eHealthPlus membership. Search for orthodontists and general dentists by zip code. They will save you 25%-60% on braces. Source(s): http://eHealthPlus.com mine were about 2200$ 10 years ago. The only way to get an accurate estimate is to actually go to the orthodontist to request an estimate. For example: My braces needed to be on the top and bottom, they needed to be on for 2 1/2 years because I'm in my mid 20's, and my teeth needed a lot of movement to get in their correct positions. Now I need to wear a retainer for 2 years. I paid for everything upfront. Cost was $5,999. They base the estimate on how long your treatment will need to be, i.e. how many visits. I applied for credit on mine, and have been paying it off steadily for the past 2 1/2 years. It depends on if you get them from a regular dentist which is a lot cheaper or from an orthodontist. Plus it depends on where you live. I spent about 5,000 total the office visits, braces, retainers, etc.(orthodontist) Plus your teeth have to be in good shape before you get your braces -no cavities and you have to have them cleaned every six months. For EVERYTHING, including check ups and cleaning and whatnot: I paid $7,000. I dont know the exact price of braces but I do know that you can get up to 80% off your dental care. |
