I went to a dental school( like SIUE in Illinios) and got dental work done....it was a hell of alot cheaper and they did a really nice job Individual policies for dental work are often not worth the money that you spend on them. There are too many restrictions and pre-existing conditions. If you are healthy and don't need a lot of work, you only need cleanings and x-rays. If you pay for an individual policy - you end up paying more for the insurance than what you needed that year. If you can get dental insurance through your work, you would be better off doing that because the company usually subsidizes part of the policy and there are less restrictions to the policy. If you are self-employed you would be better off getting a health savings account. This is a plan that you put pre-tax dollars into and goes to pay your medical costs through the year, including dental. That way you only pay for what you need. An insurance professional can help you set that up so that you put the right amount in and it's useful to you. |
