Check and see if there are any dental schools in your area. You might have to wait a while to get in, but the costs are very reduced. The students have dentists supervising them, so your care would be monitored.
Check to see if your income is low enough to get Medicaid. If it is look around for a dentist in your area with a good reputation who takes that insurance.

You can take out a loan for dental work and some places offer financing so you can make payments.

It is very important though that you worry more about the quality of the dentist that you are going to and less about the cost, although I know that is a huge factor.

If you get poor dental work on fillings now, you're going to need crowns, root canals or extractions and implants later on. And a filling is a couple hundred dollars compared to an extraction and implant which is a couple thousand.

Look around and see what your options are. You might want to go to a dentist that you trust for your exam and pay full price, out of pocket, to find out what you need to get done, and what it would cost you to have him/her do it.

This is your mouth and you need to take care of it now so you you don't have to fix everything again later and to a greater extent. I've had to help fix poor dental work numerous times and it's sad because you invest so much the first time. But there are options out there for financing.
Like KLN said, go to a dental school, even if you have to travel to one.

I went to the University of Southern California (where I went to grad school) to have my root canal done. It was completely free.
I assume you would like to see how you could save money
and still get all your cavities filled.

You need a dental plan that has dentists in your local area,
and that has no limits on visits or annual caps. A few choices
are listed below, top choice first.

Unfortunately, dental work is extremely expensive. What state do you live in? I work for a company that offers a premier health care savings plan, but you can opt to only get certain benefits, such as dental for less than $20.00 a month, and it saves you up to 60% on dental. Email me at amiekalista@windstream.net or amiekalista22@yahoo.com and I can give you more information.
I have a great benefits plan that saves you up to 80%. You even get free vision5, chiropractic, and prescription with the plan as well. An individual can be covered for only $11.95 a month. It sounds perfect for you. www.mybenefitsplus.com/ewarner
