Does anyone have a good home remedy for a annoying toothache. i do not have dental insurance. please help...? You can buy numbing ointments from pharmacy stores or places like Walmart. But that's only a quick fix. You're tooth aches because it likely has a cavity and without treatment from a dentist will only get worse. pull it it the cheapest way gargle lukewarm vinegar... maybe that would help. but take medicines like ibuprofen. they're quite cheap. but i suggest you go to the dentist to check what is the problem before it becomes worse and more expensive to cure. make Some hot tea. then use the hot tea bag and place it onthe tooth that aches. it will numb it and you will have a nice flaver in your mouth Sorry, but aside from Orajel or clove oil, you need to see a dentist. Pain could be a sign of an infection, which could spread to your sinuses, brain or heart. I know that sounds scary, but it's true. I once ignored a toothache and my face swelled up like a balloon. The dentist was almost ready to send me to the hospital for an antibiotic IV. Call a dentist--- so many are willing to work with you on payments, especially if you're in pain. They know toothaches can become serious and won't turn you away. I used to have them alot, and was told to put a clove on it....it didn't work. Then I was told to put an aspirin on it, worked a little but ate the inside of my mouth up., Then I tried vodka, it helped too, (holding it your mouth...not drinking it) but burned like hell and only lasted a little while. Warm salt water also helped for a little while, but the best thing really is anbesol or any oral pain med that has benzocaine in it. good luck! ps..dentist WILL turn you away...one told me I my gums were going to explode from all the infection from my 3 wisdom teeth, but wanted 500 right then to remove them, I didn't have it and they sent me home with out even so much as a antibiotic. But yeah, you should try to see one There are temporary pain relief substances you can buy at your local drug store without a prescription but they are meant to be temporary treatment for a tooth ache. Pain is the bodies way to tell us something is wrong, hate to say it but you need to see the dentist. Some dentists give free first check ups (Gentle Dental does this). |
