Does insurance cover dental implants? And how much do they normally cost? |
I need several dental implants. Does insurance cover any part of that? I have aetna . What is the cost usually for each implant? Does it hurt? Since your Aetna probably does not cover dental implants you may want to add a supplemental plan that does. I suggest the eHealthPlus membership. Be sure your dentist is on both networks for maximum benefit. Search by zip code. Source(s): http://eHealthPlus.com You will need to review your plan for dental coverage. Most of the time companies included dental coverage in your health insurance. As far as what specific procedures are covered, you will need to refer to your plan. Implants cost about $1800.00. The implant is about $1200.00 and the cap that goes on top is about $600.00. If you go to the right doctor (that works on implants only) it will not hurt. I do not thin insurance will cover implants. They dont even cover full cost for fillings At this point in time very few insurance companies cover implants. You can have your dentist send an estimate to your insurance and then you will know for sure how much it will cost you. In Canada, implants from start to finish are around $2000, but shop around, prices can differ. It isn't covered by most insurances but call your insurance co and ask!! The oral surgeon I work for charges $1400 per implant and that is for the post to be set. That doesn't cover the false tooth. Good Luck!! |
