I am on disablity. I have a major dental problem and two insurance policys to help...not enough still,help? |
I need to have all teeth extracted and some form of replacement teeth. My bones are degenerating. Sorry that sounds really awful. On Monday call the county health department and ask them for suggestions. There probably are programs (such as Medicaid) to help you. Good luck. If you're on disability...the state should be covering all of your costs...at least that's how it is in Florida. Try to work out a payment plan or something....explain the situation to the dentist. I'm a health insurance broker. I sell dental insurance, but I"m not a big fan of it. Waiting periods, exclusions, etc. I have a dental discount card and use that. It doesn't have waiting periods or exclusions. I don't sell them, but would be glad to pass on the information to you if you want. thewillies99@yahoo.com try medicare in some states or just go to a dental school... they have reduced fees... or do you have enough money for a trip to mexico?? hehe check out www.carecredit.com - interest free credit card for medical expenses that some docs take. I am using it to cover my dental work. Check with your dentist about a payment plan...most of them will do that for you. If your insurance isn't enough to cover the treatment needed, maybe you should look into the dental college. I know that the students there work on the public. There may be a waiting list or some other qualifications that you may need to meet, but it's certainly worth looking into. Good Luck |
