What dental help can i get if i dont have insurance? |
What dental help can i get if i dont have insurance? first things first Medicaid does not cover dental if your'e over the age of 21 it all depends on where you are located there are lots of health clinics run by state funds that have dental clinics that offer free dental services or reduced co pay amounts depending on your income. I such you call your local Department of Health and they will be able to give you any additional information. Allot of dentists have payment plans Medicaid.. They have Dental.. Its free depending on your income status. Any will help you if you come with enough cash in hand. If you don't have that, call the United Way. If there is a clinic in your area that charges based on your income, they will know about it. I live in a community of about 320,000 and we have two clinics for medical and one for dental that would help. If there are any dentistry schools in your area, try them -- students are always looking for patients to practice on. And I'm sure they're well-supervised! Find a dentist that offers financing or look into Credit Care - a credit card for medical, dental and veterinary services. Or, you might even want to ask if the dentist you are interested in visiting offers discounts to patients who pay cash up front. Good luck! You can try contacting some Universities in your area which have dental schools in them. I know the University of Chicago- Illinois has a program for their dental students to work on patients with no dental insurance and they are pretty cheap. A few friends of mine have gone there with no complaints or problems. Good luck ! |
