Is there "secret" disability insurance with utility companies?

I am on Short term disability for a pregnancy complication. Someone told me that you pay for disability insurance with your utilities, but that they don't tell you that you are paying it. Is this true? What about cell phone companies? Just curious - if I have been paying for it within my bill then I want to use it! Thanks!

Um, no. "Someone" is probably thinking about the utility line insurance, where if you have a problem with the line, they come out and fix it without charging you.
No that I know. Disability insurance is mandatory in most states and is paid for by the employer.
we pay for it but not for the disabilities which are present at the time of conception of insurance coverage.
