Can i use my short-term disability insurance for maternity leave? |
Can i use my short-term disability insurance for maternity leave? Yes (although check with your specific insurance company). Generally people go on "short term disability" after they have their baby and you get around 60% of your paycheck. Unfortunately, my company doesn't offer short term disability! Definately take advantage of it!! Yes, you can. You will generally get 6 weeks paid for a vaginal birth and 8 weeks paid for c-section. I used mine when I was on maternity leave. Totally depends on the specific policy - some do, some don't cover maternity benefits. Check with Human Resources if it's through your company or your agent if it's private. oh yes you can! my mom used it because she found out that she was 8 months prego and didn't know it! and then two days latter had my baby sister Sydney. but yes she had about 6 weeks to her and Sydney. then went back to work. she woried to leaave her alone with my step dad but she made it! I hope that this helps some! ~Art~ Yes. I did twice. |
