Ihave a dog who is sick. i need to know who offers pet insurance for people with bad credit? im in mass? Pet Insurance will not help you now. It does not even cover pre-existing conditions. If the animals is sick, it needs to see a vet before you could get any insurance. And insurance is not really cheap. Can be about $300 per year and does not cover the entire bill. Talk to the local Humane Society and see if they have a staff vet and can get you reduced cost vet care. Otherwise, sign the dog over to the Humane Society so it might get the care it deserves!!! No insurance is now going to cover cancer. You cannot just sign up a dog with cancer and expect them to pay. Can't do that with people insurance, can't do that with pet insurance!!! This belongs under "dogs" not "general-pets" you;d get more answers there call ur local petco or petsupermarket and they can help u but if ur dog is that sick u had better get him to the vet before u lose him. the aspca offers pet insurance, but i'm unsure on the policy details. PET INSURANCE FORMS CAN BE FOUND IN ANY VETS OFFICE. LOOK ON LINE, MAYBE THERE'S A FORM THERE. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DOGGIE Hmm, are there no charitable places that do free pet care for those who cannot afford it otherwise? I think with insurance, they usually have a bit of a clause about "pre-existing" conditions - and a vets report might well say "this must have been a problem for X days/weeks". They are not completely naive to this kind of thing.... Also they often exlcude claims for the first X weeks/months to try and avoid fraud. Unfortunately you will not be able to get pet insurance if your dog has already been diagnosed with cancer. You said you're in Mass -- depending on your location call one of the following places: Boston -- Call Angell Memorial -- I think they are in Jamaica Plain -- definitely in the city. Suburbs west of Boston: Tufts Veterinary Clinic or Westwood Emergency Care If it isn't too far for you -- we found the people at Tufts to be amazing. We almost lost our dog, but they saved him. Their veterinarians are incredible - and they take the time to explain things to you. We did find out first hand the insurance issue (we tried to get it, but couldn't) but Tufts did work with us to create a plan where we could pay the fees. We saw a lot of dogs with cancer there. (Our dog had a reaction to his distemper meds -almost died - he had to have a couple of blood transfusions) Good luck. I hope everything works out for you and your dog.
