What is NCO FINANCIAL services and why do I owe them money? |
I just checked out my credit report and I owe them money for what I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA!!! NCO financial is a collections agency. I know that all my money owed to NCO financial is due to medical bills. Medical bills are not reportable by the original creditor but can be reported by a collection agency. If you call them and request they send you a debt validation they are required to give you the information on what the original debt is. NCO is an assigned collection agency, meaning they did not purchase your debt (they are not a junk debt buyer) and they don't have as much flexibility for negotiations because they have to give most of what they get to the hospital or doctors office they were assigned to collect for. NCO is the largest collections company in the US. In addition to working to collect debt owned by other companies, they buy all kinds of debt. And not just medical debt. And the debt validation is the way to go. |
