What kind of health insurance do you have? |
if you dont have it... why not? blue cross blue shield My husband work for he's grandparents company that doesn't carry insurance and on his income we just can't afford insurance, but we have 3 kids and I'm not going to make them suffer so I opted to have help from the state. So my youngest daughter has Medicaid and my two oldest are on a program called CHIPS which costs us $5 for doctor visits and prescriptions. As for me and my husband, if we have to go to the doctor, we usually look for home remedies, or go and try just to make to the next paycheck. I have aetna - its a little expensive but most doctors like it! I have felt they prefer it to most insurances! I never have to wait too long :) and am treated nicely - almost always! We have Aetna through my husband's work. We're very happy with it because they actually PAY providers!and providers actually accept it!! We've previously had Blue Cross/Blue Shield (which everyone would take but it was very expensive), Cigna (poorer coverage than BC/BS & Aetna), and United Healthcare (which is by far the worst insurer we've ever had; not only did Dr.'s hate them & wouldn't take them, so we had to go the expensive out-of-network route, they never EVER paid either us or providers -- they were late, refused claims, refused to answer questions, made us submit claims again & again & again, or flooded us with supplemental paperwork.) |
