Why do Dubya & some Republincans refuse to provide Health Insurance for America's Kids? What's the harm in it?

Democrats are trying to renew SCHIP (State Children's Health Insurance Program), originally initiated & signed by President Bill Clinton in 1997 with bipartisan support. SCHIP is a national program designed to support families who earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid, yet cannot afford to buy private insurance for their kids.

SCHIP will provide nearly $35 billion over the next five years 鈥?that's enough to help an additional 3.3 million low and moderate-income children get health insurance.

So why is it that Republicans support wasting $3 BILLIONS A WEEK ($156 BILLIONS PER YEAR) on rebuilding Iraq but they are against supporting American kids?

Is this the "Republican Morality"? Are these the "Republican Values" that they always brag about? Or do they simply care about the richest 2% Americans and the hell with the rest of America???

It's something that doesn't benefit them financially. Therefore it's not worth having.

Not to mention that the program is payed for by taxing cigarettes, so it will not affect people's income....Bush is piece of crap. I hope people expose how morally wrong this is.

Why should I pay for some one else's kid to have health insurance? I have my own family to worry about. If there is no harm why don't you "adopt" a kid to buy health insurance for?

The bottom line is that the republicans hate. They hate the poor, they hate america they hate the troops. they hate anything good and decent. They put their faith in a war criminal crazy ignorant boob.
they only want free healthcare for illegal aliens, iraqis, and politicians.
Many times these bills have more than just $35 billion to kids. I am not familiar with this bill but it is TYPICAL to add lots of pork into a bill to have it pass under the radar.

BTW, it's not just the GOP that does things like this. The dems are very practiced in this same thing!
